Ohio native Gretchen Pleuss is an up-and-coming songwriter with a seasoned sound.The influences of Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin, and Paul Simon can be heard in Gretchen's unique chord progressions and vocal nuances. Her lyrics are pure and poetic—eloquently describing love, heartbreak, the natural world, and social injustice—and continue to resonate with listeners at a deep, emotional level.

Some of Gretchen’s most recent accomplishments include winning the Searchlight Songwriting Competition and ranking as a finalist in The Great American Song Contest for her song "Foreign Car.” In 2013, she was featured as a guest performer on Bill Payne of Little Feat’s solo tour, Tracing Footsteps. In 2014, she was a Top 10 finalist at Indie Week Ireland.

To date, Pleuss has played at an array of venues throughout the United States, Peru, Ecuador, and Ireland. She has performed at prominent music festivals such as The Kent State Folk Festival, Indie Week Ireland, 30A Songwriter's Festival, The Black Potatoe Independent Music Festival, Burning River Fest, Launch Music Conference, and The Montauk Music Festival.
